The Gospels - Pastor Dave Funk
Like asking four different artists to paint a portrait of the same individual, the four Gospels each give us a unique perspective on the life and teachings of Jesus. In the five-week Gospels class, we will start with the question, “What is the Gospel?” Then we will spend time surveying each of the four “portraits” of Jesus, identifying how each author uniquely enriches our understanding of the greatest news of the world has ever known.

Finding I AM - Class for women hosted and led by Lorraine McEwen

What is the deep cry of your heart? That ache in your soul that keeps you up at night? The prayer you keep repeating? Jesus not only cares about this deep, spiritual wrestling, but He also wants to step in and see you through it.

Join Lysa TerKeurst on the streets of Israel to explore the seven I AM statements of Jesus found in the Gospel of John. Through this interactive, in-depth study, you will learn to:

  • Trade feelings of emptiness and depletion for a more personal fulfillment from knowing who Jesus is.

  • Stop living like a slave to your circumstances by training your heart to embrace the life-giving freedom God wants for you.

  • Gain a better understanding of how Jesus' words 2,000 years ago are so very applicable to the answers we are searching for today.

Concerning Spiritual Gifts - Pastor Al Funk
All of us in the church are called to be involved in ministry.  It can be as a pastoral leader, kids or youth volunteer, Board member, worship team participant, kitchen helper, parachurch volunteer, greeter, or….the list goes on.  Often, what keeps us from stepping into a role in ministry is the feeling that we don’t have what it takes to do the job.

The good news is that not only does God call us but he also equips us with the abilities we need to get the job done.
In this class, we will look at the gifts and abilities God gives us to accomplish his purposes in and through us in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Come with comments, questions, and a willingness for God to expand your ability to minister for him.

Galatians: The Gospel of God's Unmerited Grace
- Paul Yorke

In today’s thirst for knowledge and spiritual enlightenment there are many false views and teachings that seek to capture the minds and hearts of sincere-seekers of the “truth.”  The Book of Galatians seeks to combat the temptation to pursue “another gospel!”  The books of Galatians and Romans are the clearest expressions of the new covenant of salvation by grace, through faith alone in Christ alone! Thus, the Book of Galatians has been called "The Magna Carta of Christian Liberty."

The course will examine the divine truth contained in letter stirred the fires of the Protestant Reformation which brought freedom to untold millions enslaved by religion.  Galatians inspired Martin Luther to rediscover the truth behind “the righteous will live by faith” (Habakkuk 2:4; Romans 1:17).  In the course we shall discover the truth of the gospel of grace that transformed the life of a religious zealot who persecuted the early church to become God’s chosen servant to carry the gospel to the Gentile nations.

Our study  will examine such themes as:
1) what is the Gospel of Grace, in contrast to another gospel of the law;
2) the divine calling of God, and a transformed life;
3) being justified and living by faith verses living under the law and works;
4) the sonship of every believer in Christ;
5) not falling into a pattern of works verses living in true freedom “in Christ;”
6) life “in the Spirit”—what it means to bear the fruit of the Spirit, and
7) to live and walk “in the Spirit.”

What Is The Bible? (And How Should I Read It?) - Pastor Chad Langerud
Reading the Bible can lead to inspiration and transformation in our lives, while also being daunting and confusing at the same time. This class will dig into how we can read and study the Bible with understanding and faith.

We will explore questions like:

Where did the Bible come from?
Are we supposed to read the Bible literally?
How do you interpret the Bible?
How can a book written by humans be God's word?

Intended for those with honest questions and thoughts about how the Bible can be a valuable aspect of their faith in God.
